The US government says more than 60,000 people have had their visas revoked since Trump's travel ban was introduced last week.
Some media reports indicate that the number could be as high as 100,000.
As legal action mounts against the controversial order, a US district judge has allowed the state of Virginia to join other plaintiffs in challenging the ban.
