Turkish-backed Free Syrian Army fighters have entered Al Bab, ISIL's last stronghold in Aleppo province.
Activists say dozens of civilians have been killed in aerial attacks and shelling on the city in the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile there is continuing confusion surrounding the death of three Turkish soldiers there, killed in a Russian air strike.
