Harriet Verney hops into bed once again to catch up with Matty Bovan and Charles Jeffrey, following their shoot for LOVE 17 in which they styled a variety of impressive individuals alongside Katie Grand and photographed by Dan Jackson. Most importantly, we finally get to bottom of that burning question: WHO'S GOT A BIGGER HEAD?

‘I was chosen to be one of the 25 people to be flown out to Los Angeles for Katie Grand’s brave and genius Willy Wonka quest alongside Kendall Jenner. The night before I left, my dad reminded me of the last time I was in LA. Three years ago, I spent my entire spring break curating a short experimental film that was entirely inspired by LOVE. My creative drive and energy was provided to me by LOVE. It is a fashion magazine like no other. LOVE didn’t treat me as a consumer, it treated me like the artist'.

‘The moment I saw LOVE magazine’s announcement, my heart stopped and sank to my feet. All I could think about were my dreams, dreams that have been a part of my life for years. ‘As a 19-year-old artist, filmmaker, model and aspiring actress, I have starred in, directed, filmed and edited my own films for four years. I used YouTube as a creative portfolio as well as an outlet that allowed my art to have an audience. As a second -year film student, I wanted nothing more than to take a leap into the world of art in a role that allowed me to use my multifaceted interests and talents in the arts. Ísold Halldórudóttir, a young filmmaker, traveller and artist from Iceland, isn’t sure she has the answers. ‘I have no real idea how I got here,’ she giggles, her smile hiding beneath it a bellyful of butterflies.
Ísold is nervous, partly as she hasn’t previously experienced anything quite like this shoot in the desert – it’s very relaxed, but it’s still something of a circus for an outsider – and partly because being pushed into the spotlight has, in some way, raised a mirror to her own life and future ambitions. Not only is she being photographed by Kendall Jenner, she has also been asked by LOVE to make several films that will be published online in tandem with this very special issue.
