OVERTORNEA, SWEDEN — A small town Swedish politician proposed this week to allow workers an one-hour paid break during the day to go home and get some afternoon delight.
Per-Erik Muskos of the Social Democratic party made the proposal in his town of 2,000 people as a way to promote well-being and make some babies, Aftonbladet reported.
“It’s about having better relationships,†Muskos told the AFP. “There are studies that show sex is healthy.â€
“When sex is also an excellent form of exercise with documented positive effects on well-being, the municipality should kill two birds with one stone and encourage employees to use their fitness hour to go home and have sex with their partner,†Muskos told Aftonbladet.
Muskos feels that couples don’t get enough quality time together especially with the everyday stresses of things like work and raising kids.
He may be onto something. Sex has been proven to lower blood pressure, help with sleep, prevent colds and even help with hiccups, according to Vice.
