GUANGZHOU, CHINA — A zoo worker is lucky to have two intact arms after a zebra attacked him during a staged show earlier this week.
On December 29 at Chimelong Safari Park, the zebra was reportedly observed being rushed through his act, and clearly was not happy about it. Apparently tired of taking orders from the trainer, the zebra decided to bite back by chomping on the man’s arm. The zebra then dragged the man around for the next two minutes, running away from zoo staff and refusing to let go. Guests of the park could only watch in horror.
When the zebra finally released his grip, the man, surnamed Li, was lucky to have his hand back with only minor injuries. The footage surfaced roughly one month after the attack occurred, and is now making the rounds in a week of videos depicting zoo animals getting revenge.
Earlier this week, a man who snuck into a zoo in Eastern China met his end when he accidentally landed in a tiger pen, mauled to death as his wife and children watched.
