That was the cast of Netflix’s hit show Stranger Things taking home the actor for Ensemble cast at tonight’s SAG awards.
If things in this world feel uncertain, well then listen up because the cast of Stranger Things winning tonight is the breath of fresh you never knew you needed.
The entire cast of 18 hit the stage to accept the award with actor David Harbour leading the charge with a very impassioned, powerful speech.

Anyone else felt like they just went to church with that speech? Cuz I do. The actors and actresses in audience weren’t the only ones with strong physical reactions to Harbour’s speech, which FYI I recommend watching a few times because it’s packed with so many amazing morsels of truth, alas Winona Rider seems to have stolen his thunder with her multitude of unique facial reactions to speech that no doubted are already becoming memes that will live on well past tonight. There was this facial, then this one and yes friends there was this one too. Honestly I’m just glad to see her lookin so great and clearly genuinely excited about this big win for her cast. And let’s not get it twisted, these Stranger Things kids are the best thing that ever happened and seeing their joy was emotionally overwhelming in a great way.

The 2017 SAG Awards honored yet another year of televised and cinematic art and we’re bringing you all of the best moments.
The SAG awards are all about acting but sometimes it’s when the actors are just being themselves when the best moments are captured.
Another round of actors were awarded for their craft tonight and along with the giving of accolades, came some prime moments that deserve to be highlighted. Like when everyone couldn’t get enough of the Stranger Things kids! I know, shocker there. Who isn’t obsessed with them? But ya gotta love when celebs fangirl over other celebs. Dascha Polanco from Orange is the New Black was not about to leave that stage without giving Millie Bobby Brown some love.
Then as the cast of Stranger Things was making their way to the stage to accept their award for best ensemble in a Drama Series, Taraji P. Hensen couldn’t help but to express her love.
Kids are cute and all, but Ellie Kemper kept it real when she told her actor story...

The 2017 SAG awards went down at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles tonight and in case you missed the show, no need to worry, because we’ve got you covered with a winners recap.
The SAG awards have come and gone, but the winners will live on forever.

It was a night of huge surprises and humble speeches at the SAG awards this year in every category, so let’s kick off the winners recap with the big wins for the ladies. Julia Louis-Dreyfuss continues her reign as the queen of comedy thanks to her “Best actress in a TV comedy” win for her work in Veep. Equally deserving of her win was first-time SAG nominee Claire Foy, who took home the Actor for Best Actress in a TV drama for her role as a young Queen Elizabeth II in Netflix favorite, “The Crown”, and gave special thanks to her co-star, Matt Smith.

On the film side of things, the award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role went to Viola Davis for her incredible work in Fences, meanwhile the big win for best performance by an actress went to Emma Stone for La La Land.
It definitely looks like Emma’s on her way to that Oscar gold.

Moving on to the men’s side, John Lithgow won Best Actor in a TV drama for his work on The Crown, while Shameless star William H. Macy took home the Actor for Best Actor in a comedy.

As for film performances, a very deserving Mahershala Ali took home the Actor for his supporting work in Moonlight, and Denzel Washington looked genuinely surprised and thrilled to take home the huge honor of Best performance in a motion picture....
